It’s been over three years since Yung Berg was robbed of his infamous Transformers chain by Trick Trick’s crew in Detroit, something that really put a dent in his reputation.
When the reports surfaced of the incident, the young rapper was riding high off the success of his hit single “Sexy Lady” and his appearance on Ray J’s “Sexy Can I.” Now, he’s finally speaking on all these incidents that took place as he was rising to the top of the industry.
Berg recently visited DJ Whoo Kid’s Shade 45 Sirius/XM show, and opened up about his roller-coaster ride over the last few years and where he’s at today. Specifically, the Chicago-bred rapper breaks down the whole situation with Detroit’s Trick Trick, which eventually resulted in Berg being assaulted and robbed of his chain. Berg called it a set-up, all caused by a specific person in his camp at the time.
He also goes on to discuss how he hooked up and signed to DMX’s label as a teen; what caused the publicized incident in Atlanta where Maino slapped him; some experiences with Ray J; and more.
