Now this is great for music. After taking a hiatus from releasing solo projects super producer Timbaland and female hip-hop veteran Missy Elliott have both revealed plans to come out with new albums. Timbo spoke with MTV about the long awaited tracks.
“Me and Missy are both coming with our albums at the same time, and it will be in June,” Mr. Mosley confessed to MTV.
Timbaland hasn’t released an album since his 2009 Shock Value 2 project. Missy has kept fans waiting even longer, as her last album, The Cookbook, dropped in 2005.
The two, who have a musical history together since the beginning of their careers, plan on releasing their new projects together.
“Right now, we’re preparing to get both our videos, our first singles, shot kinda at the same time,” Tim said. “We want to do it as a movement and spontaneously. I just don’t want to move too ahead of her and she don’t want to move too ahead of me,” Timbaland said. “So we’re both doing it at the same time.”
