Hov is ready to change the game once again. While the debate rages on about whether or not Billboard will count his 1 million copies of Magna Carta Holy Grail, the real fans are just concerned with the music. Despite some incredible albums having dropped already, I don’t think we quite have that album that defines “Summer 2013.” But that may all change with Jay’s project. Today, Samsung dropped yet another ad for the forthcoming opus. In the clip, Hov is in the same studio, talking about the impact of the Internet and technology on our everyday lives.
On a side note, I had a great talk today with one of the producers seen in this video, and he assured me this was the album Jay wanted to make for years. I want to give more details but you’ll just have to wait until tomorrow.
“Even the smallest person can have their voice be heard by millions. We wrote how the world would be, but now it’s so many other things. No one has addressed that again. All these years, all these things have been introduced to he world, the Internet and this technology and all these things. How do we operate within all that? We don’t have any rules. Everyone is still trying to write the new rules That’s why the Internet is like the Wild West. We need to write the new rules for what’s going on right now. The whole thing what I wanted to do–I wanted to have that fireplace moment or radio moment where everyone is just sitting around that thing, hearing the album at the same time.”
